In the Steam store, Among Us still only shows up as working on Windows. But I just bought it on my Mac (not expecting it to work on my Mac, but sometimes I buy things so I can download them on my Windows gaming PC later), and when I‘d bought it, it showed up on the ‘games that run on Mac’ section in my library! Intrigued, I clicked. There are a few different options for playing this game on Mac. We will stick with describing one of the easier ways to do this: play Among Us using the BlueStacks App Player. The nice things about this is that you will be playing the mobile version of Among Us. Two ways to install and play Among Us on a Mac Normally, the most common way of running unsupported games on Mac OS devices is installing Windows, which also defeats the whole purpose of owning a Mac. They only made in playable on apples latest MacBooks. They have a silicon chip inside which allows the mac to run IOS apps. Steam is saying it supports the game on mac because it's talking about the latest computers. Older MacBooks cannot run the game. If you really want to play it on your computer you're going to have to download an android parallel desktop (aka bluestacks) or a windows one.
Unfortunately, Among Us is not officially supported on Mac. Fortunately, the game does work on Windows using Parallels® Desktop for Mac. Parallels Desktop runs Steam on Windows, which means if your computer meets the requirements you can run the game, even on a Mac. For those casual gamers out there, that don’t necessarily have a super gaming PC, Parallels does a great job of running quite a few Steam games.

How to Play Among Us on Mac. So, to be very specific, there are two unofficial ways to install Among Us game on the Mac. First, you’ll need to play the game using an Android Emulator on your Mac. Second, use the Boot Camp Assistant to install Windows 10 on your Mac to a different disk drive and then run Among Us game via the Steam client.
Among Us launched in 2018 and has since become one of the top party games to play on a PC. To date, no Mac version has been released, but that doesn’t mean we can’t play Among Us on Mac OS.

One great thing about Among Us is the cost—just $5 on Steam. This is probably why it is so easy to find a random user to play a quick match with.
The premise? Among Us is an online and local party game of teamwork and betrayal for 4-10 players. There is a crew and an imposter. The crew wins by completing tasks to prepare the ship or by ejecting all the impostors. The imposter tries to frame the crew and sabotage the ship without getting discovered.
In terms of requirements, the game can run easily on most computers.

When running the game on my 2017 MacBook pro, resource usage was minimal. It handled the game as if it ran natively on Mac!
